Benches are the unsung hero’s of villages, parks, towns and cities around Norfolk. A place where mothers and fathers can watch their children play, a sanctuary for elderly people to rest their weary feet, a meeting place for two friends to enjoy a catch up. That is why it is sad to see so many of these valuable community assets unloved and covered in dirt and grime with the odd grey and white splatter of bird art.

Steam Team have decided to take voluntary action and start a campaign to clean the benches of Norfolk, removing the dirt and grime and giving local people and tourists a lovely and inviting place to sit. It is our goal to steam clean at least 20 benches per month as we drive around the county to deliver steam cleaning services to our customers.

To help Steam Team find the benches which require the most love, we would like the help of Norfolk residents to take photos of dirty benches and upload them to the Facebook campaign page which can be found here
